The Canon Speedlite 270EX II is a compact flash unit designed for Canon cameras. when used with select Canon EOS DSLR cameras that have a master function, the Speedlite 270EX II can be used as a wireless slave flash. The 270EX II can also be used with other compact digital camera models equipped with a dedicated flash shoe mount. The 270EX II’s Tele/Wide function allows adjustment of illumination angle and guide number to match shooting conditions. Manual power adjustment from 1/1 to 1/64 is also available and it comes with a soft case for storage.
Flash coverage can be switched between Normal (28mm full-frame equivalent, max. Guide No. 72 ft./22m at ISO 100) and Tele (50mm full-frame equivalent, max. Guide No. 89 ft./27m at ISO 100).

The unit even features wireless slave TTL functionality for off-camera lighting when used with a master unit.
A remote control shooting setting available on the 270EX II enables wireless triggering of certain DSLRs up to 16.4′ away. It also has an AF assist beam and has a recycle time of 0.1 to 3.9 seconds. Other modes include high-speed, first and second curtain sync settings and it runs on just 2 AA batteries. Additionally, it comes with a mini stand and a case.
